Welcome to Munchinland

I feel just like I did the very first time I saw the Wizard of Oz on a color TV. Yes, I am old enough to have lived through a black and white TV world, before cable and video games. Jeez, we even had to get up to change the stations. Oh...I guess we were Dad’s remote.

Anyway...before I squirrel too badly, back to my original thought. Dorothy landed with a thud, after a spectacular black and white sequence of events, and all was dead quiet. She reached for the doorknob to exit the house which had transported her through the tornado, opening it slowly to the most vivid, spectacular hues all in Technicolor glory, and I was in love with fantasy. I continued to shape my imagination with other marvels of cinematic candy, nothing short of wide world of Disneyfied ecstasy.

So, why have I gone dark? I noticed the other day, my blogs have traditionally had very little color, and even less humor. As I delve back into an old project, I remember what it felt like to be naive with rose colored glasses, brimming with hope for those “happily ever afters”.

Now, I can’t change the world, but perhaps I can change my response to it. My stories have darkness, yes, but they often redeem the darkest in them. For me that’s enough, except I might add a bit more color. #orcafaz #tchristofer
