ART for ART's Sake

I wrote a thesis many decades ago with the above title. I come from a generation where being different is a creative’s goal, not fitting a commercialized norm. It seems our society feels more comfortable with the same old same old. It is dependable and in today’s standards the only way to make the moola.
I realized I’m a weird bird a long time ago. I am a multifaceted creative engine riding on a track with many spurs. No one passion fills me all the time, but I also do not believe that makes me less driven to become published or continue writing. Creatives are individuals, not cloned versions of the latest commercial success everyone is looking.
Art is a creative expression of everything inside the artist bursting out. It is a God spark and not everyone knows how to access it. It’s done for the love of creation, but that does not mean it is an artist's sole pursuit. Some of us get constant input of creative needs across many artistic things, not just writing. So if I squirrel away from the book, please be kind and don't assume I'm a writer unworthy of being published.
