Just under 1000...

I am quickly approaching the halfway point on this grand contest. If I can squeeze out 1000 more words today, I’ll be at 25k and halfway to the goal of the whole thing! There’s so much backstory I’m concerned. Editing will be vital later. I’m looking forward to that soon!
