Like Shards of Glass...

Have you ever held onto something so tightly that it makes an indelible pattern on your skin? What if that item is sharp and cuts its way into the crevices? I find there are some people who do that in our lives and no matter how hard we try to let them go, they stay. This is what makes characters. My characters are totally fictional, but always start somewhere. People in my life either fear me or look forward to seeing where they might show up. In all actuality, they are forged of bits and pieces of many people as well as pure fiction, usually with one strong starting point. Feel honored if you make the cut...or terrified. Depends on how you treated me.
